Filling the system

The basin must be filled exclusively with gravel. It's absolutely to avoid the use of soil wich causes the emergence of weeds. The aquatic plants must feed exclusively on substances contained in the wastewater.

Thanks to the water level control device the wastewater will remain 10-15 cm below the gravel surface avoiding unpleasant odors and the proliferation of insects.

The plant surface can be walked.
